<p><font>Set in medieval Scotland, three witches tell Macbeth that he will be king. Encouraged by his wife, Macbeth kills the king, and takes the throne himself. Racked with paranoia, he commits more murders and civil war erupts, taking Macbeth and Lady Macbeth into the realms of madness and death.</font></p>
